Event Stewards/Encampment Issues

A. For each event that House Inshallah will set up, as a group there will be an Event Steward and Cook designated.
     1. The Event Steward will be designated at least a month prior to an event, if possible
     2. The duties of the Event Steward are outlined as such.
          a. Ensuring site copy is posted to the Household email list.
          b. Figure out encampment census and requirements (i.e. tent size and common space)
          c. Coordination of the Cook and menu (Does not mean that they are such!)
          d. Coordination of the camp chores (Does not mean that they do it themselves. The chores are to be delegated) 
          e. Transportation of household common equipment or arrangements made for such.

     3. Responsibilities of the cook
          a. To provide meals at household events, hot or cold.
          b. It is recommended that lunches be build your own sandwiches
          c. Will make sure lunch is sent to Household members working on Merchants row or Chirurgeons point and that plenty of water will be available for drinking.
          d. To work with food allergies and minimal food dislikes.
          e. Can and is recommended to post the menu a minimum of one week prior to the event on the household email list
          f. Will collect reimbursement from those members eating at the event and may require payment in advance for larger events.
          g. Will designate a bottle washer to clean kitchen area after each meal.

B. Camp chores are outlined as the following:
     1. Firewood and/or propane as needed
     2. Starting the fire on a daily or as needed basis
     3. Water (drinking or washing) as needed
     4. Butt patrol
     5. Kitchen clean-up
     6. Final disposal of trash

C. All members are to adhere to the camp rules, outlined as such:
     1. Have fun
     2. Respect the other members and treat them the way you wish to be treated.
     3. Clean up after yourself
     4. You are responsible for cleaning your own dishes after each meal.
     5. The camp Cook is the cook and not the bottle-washer. The Cook is responsible for cooking only. 
          a. A volunteer for bottle washer is needed for each meal.
          b. The Head of the House IS NOT exempt from bottle-washing duties.
     6. If you complain about the food, you are (or can be) then designated to be the cook for the next event. 
     7. It is the household member’s responsibility to make sure the cook is aware of any genuine food allergies prior to the event. Food dislikes can be worked around, but not guaranteed.
     8. Alcohol consumption is limited to the legal age of the local jurisdiction. 21 within the US and 19 within Canada.
     9. Smoking is a fact of life, however please only smoke around the firepit and dispose of the butts in the firepit
